Cancellation & Refund Policy – Mahakal Aviation

This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms applicable to all helicopter pilgrimage bookings made with Mahakal Aviation.

By confirming your booking, you agree to the terms mentioned below.


1. Cancellation by Passenger

If a passenger chooses to cancel the booking, the following cancellation charges may apply:

  • 30 days or more before departure: 20% of total booking amount

  • 15–29 days before departure: 40% of total booking amount

  • 7–14 days before departure: 60% of total booking amount

  • Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total booking amount (Non-refundable)

Cancellation charges may vary depending on operator policies and seasonal demand.


2. Weather-Related Cancellations

Helicopter services in the Himalayan region are strictly weather dependent.

In case flights are cancelled due to:

  • Adverse weather conditions

  • Air traffic restrictions

  • Government regulations

  • Technical safety concerns

The following may apply:

  • Rescheduling subject to availability
    OR

  • Refund as per helicopter operator norms after deducting actual operational expenses

Passenger safety is the highest priority.


3. Cancellation by Operator

If the helicopter operator cancels the service due to operational reasons, weather, or safety issues:

  • Alternative scheduling will be offered
    OR

  • Refund will be processed as per operator guidelines

Mahakal Aviation acts as a facilitator and follows aviation partner policies.


4. No-Show Policy

If a passenger fails to report at the designated helipad at the scheduled time:

  • The booking will be treated as a No-Show

  • 100% of the booking amount will be forfeited

  • No refund will be applicable


5. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 working days

  • Refunds are made to the original payment method

  • Bank processing timelines may vary


6. Partial Utilization

If a passenger voluntarily discontinues the journey after commencement:

  • No refund will be issued for unused services


7. Force Majeure

Refunds or rescheduling due to natural calamities, landslides, political disturbances, or unforeseen circumstances will be handled as per aviation operator policies.


8. Important Notes

  • All refunds are subject to actual deductions imposed by aviation operators and service providers.

  • Government taxes and processing fees may be non-refundable.

  • Customized or private charter bookings may have separate cancellation terms.
